Our Story
From Networks & More! to K12USA
Dial-up to cloud: we’ve been there for schools every step.
The K12USA story begins long before our name existed. In 1991, our President, Jamie Punderson, founded Networks & More!, Inc. with one goal: to help schools bring fast-changing technology into the classroom—without the confusion, sales gimmicks, or runaway costs.
Back then, schools were under enormous pressure. Fiber optics, ISDN lines, routers, modems, 10BaseT, and the Internet were all on the horizon. Teachers and administrators were being told: “Wire the classrooms now—students need technology yesterday.” But with limited time and expertise, it was difficult to know where to start.
The Problem Schools Faced
Salespeople promised solutions, but those solutions often solved the vendor’s problem more than the school’s. What schools really needed was a trusted, independent advisor—someone who understood K-12 education and could guide them toward the right choices.
The Networks & More! Solution
That’s where Networks & More! came in. Our promise was simple:

“The technology you need, the price you can afford, and the assurance that it works.”
We didn’t sell hardware or software—we sold knowledge, know-how, and experience. We worked directly for schools, helping them make smart, affordable decisions that truly solved their challenges.
Throughout the 1990s, Networks & More! partnered with districts across New Jersey, offering:
• Technical Support
• Internet Access & e-Mail Setup
• Network Upgrades
• Needs Assessment
• Network Design & Configuration
• T1 Router Configuration
• Bandwidth & Traffic Monitoring
• Vulnerability Scanning
• Security Updating
• Remote Network Management
Expanding Beyond Consulting
By the late ’90s, we saw another need: schools wanted not just advice but tools designed for education. In 1999, we partnered with Intel to launch a free version of our help-desk software, TroubleTrakker. Schools that completed a short survey received it at no cost, and the response was overwhelming.
What started as consulting had now grown into something bigger.
The Birth of K12USA
That moment marked the launch of K12USA—a company dedicated to building affordable, E-Rate-eligible technology solutions just for K-12 schools. From firewalls and filtering to email archiving and wireless support, we’ve continued to expand our offerings while staying true to our founding mission:

“To provide products and services that help you handle everyday tasks better and faster—without having to purchase additional hardware and software or burden your already overloaded technical staff.”
Where We Are Today
More than three decades after Jamie first began working with schools, K12USA serves districts nationwide. While our name has changed, the heart of our company has not: we’re still independent, still school-first, and still focused on giving educators the tools and support they need to thrive.
