The HTC Droid Incredible does not use the standard Android email client. It uses “HTC Sense Mail”, which has issues with the type of certificate the POP3 server uses to secure and encrypt it’s connections. At this time, the solution is to not use SSL when setting up the mail client, and set the “Security Type” to none. Use port 25 for SMTP, and port 110 for POP3.
