Elluminate webinars require  a firewall rules to allow a  direct connection to the Elluminate servers, in addition to some filtering changes to let it’s Java program download.

More Information #

To make Elluminate work through SecureSchool, ISBossBox, or LibraryDoor, you need to add 3 firewall rules.   Go to “Firewall” -> “Protocol Rules” -> “Add A Rule”.   Add the following rule:

• Name: “Elluminate”
• Type: Allow
• Protocol: TCP
• Direction: From Inside
• Source Address: “0.0.0.0/0”
• Destination Address: “216.220.49.208/28”
• Destination Port: “2187,80,443”

Repeat the same rule two more times, but using these as destination addresses:

• 65.110.166.160/27
• 74.200.25.224/27
• 69.196.224.0/19

Once the firewall rules are complete, you need to add an Authentication Exception.   Go to “Website Filtering” -> “Authentication Exceptions”, and add “elluminate.com” as an Authentication Exception.

After the above steps are complete, go to “Commit Changes” and click on “Restart”.   Once the restart is complete, Elluminate should work.
