Safer Networking’s Spybot – Search & Destroy software does not authenticate to a proxy properly. You need to make some changes for the updates to work.

You need to make the following changes for Spybot Search and Destroy’s updates to work.

• If you have not done so yet, setup Proxy Auto Detect in your DNS so the updater software can find and use your proxy server. The instructions do this are at: Proxy Auto Detect (WPAD)
• Make an authentication exception for security.kolla.de by going to “Website Filtering” -> “Authentication Exceptions” -> “Add A Site” and add security.kolla.de. Click “Submit” to finish.
• Make an authentication exception for malwarebytes.com.
• Make an authentication exception for spybot.miscellaneousmirror.org.
• Make the site security.kolla.de to be unfiltered by going to “Website Filtering” -> “Website Access” -> pick a filter set -> “Add a Site” and add security.kolla.de to be an unfiltered site.
• Make malwarebytes.com an unfiltered site.
• Make spybot.miscellaneousmirror.org an unfiltered site.

After you make the above changes go to “Commit Changes” and click the restart button.
