Summary #

Follett library software requires a connection to their servers to get certain data. This requires holes to be made in the firewall to allow access.

More Information #

To allow Follett software to traverse through the firewall, you need to create a rule allowing traffic to the Follett subnet. Go to “Firewall” -> “Protocol Rules” -> “Add a Rule”. Complete the form with the following information:

  • Rule Name: “Follett Corporation”
  • Log Packets: None
  • Type: Allow
  • Protocol: TCP
  • Direction: From Inside
  • Source Address: “0.0.0.0/0”
  • Source Port: Leave blank
  • Destination Address: “12.171.92.0/23”
  • Destination Port: Leave blank

Once you add that rule, go to “Commit Changes” and restart, and your Follett software should start to work.
