Some changes need to be made for universalservice.org’s website to work with SecureSchool.

There are a few steps to make universalservice.org work with SecureSchool. Follow the steps below.

1. Make the site unfiltered by going to “Website Filtering” -> Website Access” -> pick a filter set -> “Add a Site” and add universalservice.org to be an unfiltered site.
2. Make an authentication exception for universalservice.org by going to “Website Filtering” -> “Authentication Exceptions” -> “Add A Site” and add universalservice.org
3. Make a caching exception for universalservice.org by going to “Website Filtering” -> “Caching Exceptions” -> “Add A Site” and add universalservice.org.
4. Create a firewall rule to allow traffic to universalservice.org’s IP addresses by going to “Firewall” -> “Protocol Rules” -> “Add A Rule” -> “Rule Name”: something that makes sense -> “Type”: Allow-> “Protocol”: TCP or UDP -> “Direction”: All Inside Interfaces -> “Source Address”: Any -> “Source Port”: leave blank- > “Destination Address”: 206.192.113.0/24 -> Type: IP Address -> “Destination Port”: leave blank -> Submit.
5. Create a firewall rule to allow traffic to universalservice.org’s IP addresses by going to “Firewall” -> “Protocol Rules” -> “Add A Rule” -> “Rule Name”: something that makes sense -> “Type”: Allow -> “Protocol”: TCP or UDP -> “Direction”: All Inside Interfaces -> “Source Address”: Any -> “Source Port”: leave blank -> “Destination Address”: 38.111.140.0/24 -> Type: IP Address -> “Destination Port”: leave blank -> Submit.
6. Make a proxy exception in your browser. For Internet Explorer:
   • Go to “Tools” -> “Internet Options”
   • Click on the “Connections” tab
   • Click on the “LAN Settings” button
   • Click on the “Advanced” button next to the proxy information
   • Towards the bottom of the box, there is a box for Exceptions.  Enter the host name www.slforms.universalservice.org.
   • Click all of the “OK” buttons to close out of the dialog boxes.
   If you need to make the exception for www.slforms.universalservice.org for more than one workstation you need to add the site to your group policy for Internet Explorer or, if you’re using the proxy auto detect method, add them to SecureSchool’s list of exceptions by going to “Setup” -> “Proxy Config Script” > “Add an Exception”.
