Lavasoft’s Ad-Aware updater program does not authenticate to a proxy properly. You need to make some changes for the updates to work.

You need to make the following changes for Lavasoft’s updates to work.

• If you have not done so yet, setup Proxy Auto Detect in your DNS so the updater software can find and use your proxy server. The instructions do this are at: http://kb.k12usa.com/Knowledgebase/Proxy-Auto-Detect
• Make an authentication exception for lavasoft.de by going to Website Filtering > Authentication Exceptions > Add A Site and add lavasoft.de. Click “Submit” to finish.
• Make an authentication exception for lavasoft.de.edgesuite.net
• Make an authentication exception for 207.44.136.40
• Make the site lavasoft.de to be unfiltered by going to Website Filtering > Website Access > pick a filter set > “Add a Site” and add lavasoft.de to be an unfiltered site.
• Make lavasoft.de.edgesuite.net an unfiltered site.
• Make 207.44.136.40 an unfiltered site.

After you make the above changes go to Commit Changes and click the Restart button.
