Summary #

If you are in a browser and getting Authentication Pop-ups but the SecureSchool will not accept any Username/Password combination, you should check if Microsoft KB3002657 is installed on any of your domain controllers. On Tuesday March 10, 2015 Microsoft released a patch to address a Vulnerability in NETLOGON that could allow spoofing under certain conditions. This patch broke the NTLM Authentication method used by SecureSchool, so if you are authenticating users with NTLM you will need to UNINSTALL Microsoft Patch KB3002657.

Procedure #

  1. Open Add or Remove Programs.
  2. On the top right, select the Show updates check box. All installed updates appear at the top of your program list.
  3. Click the update you want to uninstall, KB3002657, and then click Remove.
