Overview
If students are unable to access BandLab for Education while connected to your school network, SecureSchool may be filtering one or more required domains.
BandLab uses specific cloud-hosted services for audio samples, images, and project content. These domains must be added as Unfiltered in SecureSchool.
How to Allow BandLab in SecureSchool
- Log into SecureSchool
- Go to Website Filtering > Website Access
- Select the appropriate Filter Set (example: SSB_Students)
- Click Add Sites
- Enter the following domains (do not include http:// or https://).
You may highlight and copy the list below and paste it directly into the Website Addresses field — SecureSchool will automatically separate them:
- edu.bandlab.com
- static.bandlab.com
- bandlab-prelude-prod-samples-original.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com
- bandlabimages.azureedge.net
- Select Unfiltered
- Leave Port Access Checked*
- Confirm the correct Filter Set is selected at the bottom of the page
- Click Submit
Port Access Setting
*When adding a site as Unfiltered, you may leave Add Port Access Rules checked (default). This allows HTTPS traffic on port 443, which BandLab requires.
Testing Access
- Clear the browser cache
- Have the student log out and back in
- Open a BandLab project and test audio playback
- If issues persist, review SecureSchool logs for blocked entries
